The How, Why and Who behind MaxineFaye Jewellery

I have always been creative and enjoyed Folk Art, Macramé, Decoupage, Lead-lighting, Woodwork, and many other forms of arts and crafts.  In 2003 I joined a beading class at a local Recreation Centre and was hooked immediately.  Being able to design and create beautiful handcrafted beaded Jewellery with the colours and stones I love is amazing.

Prior to that I had studied Colour Therapy, under the Aura Soma system, to the Advanced Level

Handcrafted Beaded Jewellery has become a Passion

The combinations of colour, texture and the “feel” of the beads are what inspire my original designs and as a beaded jewellery artisan I love working with colour and light.  The unique shapes and colour combinations of lamp-work and art-glass, the precision and sparkle of precision cut crystal and the organic feel of semi-precious gemstones, freshwater pearls, and metals are all considered in my designs.

I have been honoured to receive awards for my work and enjoy the challenge of creating to a themed competition.  Using materials or techniques that I wouldn’t generally incorporate in my designs is both exciting and creatively stimulating. While seeing other people enjoying and wearing my designs is very rewarding.

Repairs to Existing Beaded Jewellery

Repairing and remodelling customers’ jewellery pieces is a rewarding part of my business and gives me lots of satisfaction. The thought of sentimental beaded pieces being stuffed in a drawer and not worn, makes me very sad.  Contact me to discuss your options. 

Perhaps you have worn a favourite piece to bits. A stretch bracelet has broken; one earring has been lost; the thread has stretched on a necklace. You get the idea.

If all the beads have been rescued, the stretch cord can be replaced. If some of the beads have been lost, there are still a few options for you to consider. Necklace beading wire or knotted threads are generally replaceable. While I’m not magical, I may have the same beads in stock and can make an alternative earring to match the original. Otherwise, it might be made into a pendant or charm.

Community Classes: Wire Wrapped Beaded Bugs

Friends, family, and community are important, and as an Australia Owned Business based in Bibra Lake, WA, I support local Community Groups to assist in their fundraising efforts when possible. I also teach wire-wrapped beaded critters at Community events at reduced cost to the attendees. These classes are enjoyable and suitable for most ages and abilities.
